He was born July 9, 1946, in Plymouth, to Darrel and Merril Stoneburner Barr. On March 4, 1967, in Bourbon, he married Judy K. Surface, who survives.
He was a 1964 Triton High School graduate and completed the Dale Carniege Course. He worked at Fairmont Homes, near Nappanee, for 17 years, and retired as the national director of customer relations at Liberty Homes, Goshen.
Also surviving are two sons, Bryan (and spouse Dale) Barr and Doug Barr, all of Nappanee; two granddaughters; a brother, Ken (and spouse Loretta) Barr, Plymouth; and two sisters, Judy (and spouse David) Watts, North Carolina, and Anita Condon, Bourbon. He was preceded in death by two sons.
A procession will leave at 10 a.m. Saturday from Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, to go to IOOF Cemetery, Tyner, for a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Janet McFall-Brown officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
