He was born Oct. 8, 1947, in Wabash, to Wayne B. and Betty J. Duhamell Brubaker. On April 26, 1970, in Wabash, he married Gloria England, who died Nov. 28, 2011.
A Pierceton resident for the past 35 years, he was a member of Pierceton United Methodist Church. He formerly worked at Pierceton Foods and currently worked at Wabash Electric, Warsaw. He was a volunteer for the Pierceton Fire Department, retiring with 30 years of service.
Surviving are three sons: Daniel E. (and spouse Tara) Brubaker, Fort Wayne; Matthew W. (and spouse Marsha) Brubaker, Pierceton; and Timothy C. (and spouse Kari) Brubaker, Columbia City; two brothers, Rodney (and spouse Kathy) Brubaker, Wabash, and Dennis (and spouse Marissa) Brubaker, Fort Wayne; five grandchildren: Jenna, Andrew, Mallory, Aidan and Emily; and many nephews and nieces. He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Holly White officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
