BOURBON – Galina “Gali” Edwards, 88, formerly of Garden Court Senior Living, Bourbon, passed away at 12:15 p.m. April 30, 2012, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, where she resided.

She was born Sept. 19, 1923, to John and Vera Morozoff Lavroff, who were Russian Emigrees of the Bolshevik Revolution in Harbin, Manchuria China. In Tsingtao, China, she married Gene Edwards, who preceded her in death.

She retired from Kimble Glass, Warsaw, and was a Vanda Beauty counselor and a sales representative for World Book Encyclopedia Co. She was member of Russian Orthodox Church and enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling.

Surviving are her children: Dinah (and spouse Marvin) Thacker, Tippecanoe; Karen (and spouse Michael) Gordon, Argos; Roy (and spouse Donna) Edwards, East Ridge, Tenn.; and Thomas (and fiance Sue Markey) Spencerville; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Cemetery, one half mile north of 15th Road on Gumwood Road, Argos.

Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, is in charge of arrangements.
