Herbert and Martha Freel, 3762 W. Old 30 Lot 61E, Warsaw, celebrated their 50th anniversary Saturday.

Herbert and the former Martha Parrish were married June 23, 1962, at Eastside Baptist Church, Plant City, Fla., by the Rev. BB Chesteine.

Herbert retired from R.R. Donnelley & Sons in 1998 after 30 years of service. Martha has been a nurse for more than 40 years, currently working as a transfer specialist at Miller’s Merry Manor.

The couple have three children, Melanie (and spouse David) Ottenhausen and Wendy (and spouse Jeremy) Cox, all of Warsawm and Catrina “Katie” Freel, Bolingbrook, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

They will celebrate privately with their loving children and grandchildren.
