She was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Athens, to Marvin R. and Ola Riggle Ballenger. On Sept. 20, 1936, in Peru, she married V. Dean Ault, who died June 14, 2005.
She retired from Federal Crop Insurance Corp., Rochester, after 21 years. She also worked at Blumenthal's Women's Clothing and Dean's Milk Co. and Smith Sawyer & Smith as a secretary. She attended Akron Church of God since she was 12 years old and was a member of the Missionary Society club of the church and the 12 Ette Club. She graduated from Akron High School in 1934 and attended Anderson College.
Surviving are a daughter, Jill (and spouse Bill) Stockwell, Crawfordsville; a brother, Herbert Ballenger, Rochester; two grandchildren; and four great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a daughter and three sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
