NAPPANEE - Franklin L. Anglemyer, 87, of 303 N. Washington, Wakarusa, and formerly of 69745 CR 11, Nappanee, died at 12:15 a.m. July 15, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

He was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Union Township, to Mervin and Mary Pepple Anglemyer. On Nov. 9, 1941, in Elkhart, he married Dorothy A. Conrad, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and a custodian at Union Center Elementary for the Wa-Nee School System for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He attended Union Center Church of the Brethren.

Also surviving are two sons, Wayne (and spouse Charlene) Anglemyer, Nappanee, and Charles (and spouse Cindy) Anglemyer, Elkhart; three daughters: Evelyn (and spouse Carl) Detwiler, Nappanee; Jeanne Anglemyer, Goshen; and Doris Slater (and John Flamion), Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Union Center Church of the Brethren with pastors Larry and Ann Fourman officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
