She was born June 4, 1915, in Kosciusko County, to Calvin A. and Maggie Oldham Reese. On Dec. 24, 1933, in Roann, she married Max Frederick Thomas, who died Dec. 10, 1987. On June 8, 1997, in Warsaw, she married Konrad Albrecht, who died in June 2005.
She attended Orion and Harrison Center grade schools and was a 1933 graduate of Warsaw High School. A lifetime Kosciusko County, she worked in the assessor’s office in the Kosciusko County Courthouse from 1960-66 and was a teller at the Etna Bank from 1967 until retirement in 1978. She was a member of Cook’s Chapel, Warsaw. She loved her family immensely, was fun loving, was a devout Christian and loved to sing.
Surviving are a son, Larry (and spouse June) Thomas, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Anitra (and spouse Gerry) Hicks, Leesburg; Rachele (and spouse Jim) McKenzie, Atlanta, Ga.; and Phil (and spouse Shelly) Thomas, North Manchester; eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; four stepdaughters: JoAnn Kehoe, Bourbon; RosaLee (and spouse Ka) Rettinger, Bremen; Peggy Hoffmeister, San Diego, Calif.; Ruth Ann (and spouse Bill) Wright, Indianapolis; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Aileen Brown Norris, who died March 18, 1995.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher, chaplain for Mason Health and Rehab and Pastor Hank Lowman, retired pastor of Cook’s Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
