SYRACUSE - Frances Imogene "Imy" Menzie, 86, North Webster, died at 10:35 a.m. Nov. 3, 2008, in her residence.

She was born May 23, 1922, in Elkhart, to Clarence Edwin and Nellie Florence Hill Richwine. In 1941, in North Webster, she married James Russell Gullett, who died July 11, 1944. On April 26, 1947, in North Webster, she married Charles Junior Menzie, who died Dec. 20, 1979.

She moved to North Webster in 1936 from Elkhart, and graduated in 1940 from North Webster High School as the class valedictorian. She retired in 1991 as postmaster of the United States Post Office in North Webster, after 30 years of service. She was a member of the North Webster American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 and former member of Pythian Sister's Lodge, North Webster.

Surviving are twin daughters, Joann (and spouse Rex) Reid, Pierceton, and Jeanie (and spouse Ray) Auker, North Webster; a son, John Gullett, North Webster; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Davis, North Webster. She was preceded in death by two sons, a grandson, a stepson and a sister.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. David Smitley officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
