Fostering Program at One Dog at a Time Rescue
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
By Staff Report-
The vet care and food are provided while the puppy or dog is in foster care. The foster parents are asked to transport the dog to and from vet appointments and to meet-and-greet events.
“You can’t ask for a more rewarding experience,” said Julie Smith, president of ODTR. “One Dog at a Time Rescue is with you every step of the way.”
She said the more fosters they have, the more dogs they can help.
Five dogs are currently in need of short- or long-term foster homes. Fostering helps provide the time needed to locate and evaluate potential permanent homes and save more dogs’ lives.
