They were married on June 28, 1963, at Park Avenue Baptist Church, Binghamton, N.Y. Following graduation from Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania, the couple moved in 1969 to Winona Lake where Skip completed his education at Grace Theological Seminary, after which he taught at Grace College and Theological Seminary until his retirement in 2008.
Carol retired from Grace College in 2008 after 10 years of service at the Reneker Museum of Winona History, and as part of the administrative support staff. She had previous years of employment at Ivy Tech State College, Warsaw, and the Herald Bookstore in Winona Lake.
A 50th anniversary open house reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Robin Hood Community Center, 1436 Camelot Drive, on the campus of Grace Village, Winona Lake. They invite friends to stop by to visit with them at this come-and-go event.
The couple requests no gifts, but greetings may be sent to them at 1433 Camelot Dr., Winona Lake, IN 46590.
