FOP Awards Two Scholarships

The Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 149 recently awarded two local students scholarship awards.

The first scholarship recipient is Dana Hicks, Warsaw. Hicks is attending University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, and pursuing a nursing degree.

The second scholarship recipient selected was Roberto C. Martinez, Warsaw. Martinez is planning on pursuing a degree in criminal justice with future intentions of a becoming a federal law enforcement officer.

The Kosciusko County FOP scholarship program was started in 2006 in remembrance for local law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

Funding for the scholarships is obtained through the annual Kosciusko County FOP Law Enforcement Memorial golf outing and local telephone solicitation program.[[In-content Ad]]
