Floyd P. “Mike” Horn, 82, of Warsaw, passed away at 8:15 a.m. April 21, 2013, in his residence.
He was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to John and Daisy Meador Horn. On Sept. 10, 1955, in Martin, Ky., he married Angie Wallen, who survives.
He graduated from Prestonsburg High School in 1948 and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. Sgt. Floyd P. Horn was honorably discharged.
Living most of his life in Warsaw, Kosciusko County, he worked at Creighton Brothers for 35 years, retiring in 1992. In earlier years, he co-owned Horn Brothers Junk Co, Prestonsburg.
He was a member of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126. He loved to grow tomatoes, play cards and watch old westerns on TV. He loved his dog, “Shag,” and was a loving husband and father who adored his grandchildren.
Also surviving are a son, John (and spouse Jackie) Horn, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Kimberly (and spouse Phillip) Call, Warsaw, and Matthew (and spouse Tashina) Horn, Plainfield; and five great-grandchildren:  Ally, Ben, Lucy, Josey and Pete. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Cosette Horn; three brothers, John, Donald and Walter Horne; and a sister, Carrie Johnson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Ruben Rose Jr. and Ron Neal officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126.
