Flossie Brown, 90, of Warsaw, died at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 21, 2011, in her daughter’s residence.

She was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Hargus and Litha Sparks Bays, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elijah Marshall. On Oct. 30, 1982, in North Manchester, she married Lawrence Brown, who died Aug. 2, 2009.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a machine operator for Bendix, North Manchester, for 14 years, retiring in 1980. She attended school in Bonanza, Ky. She was a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake. She loved the Lord and her family. She was hard-working and in her earlier years, she raised a vegetable garden, enjoyed embroidering and braided rugs with her mother.

Surviving are two daughters, Parthena (and spouse Tom) Justice and Loretta Sue (and spouse Tim) Miner, all of Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren. She was loved by and will be greatly missed by her special friend and caregiver, Barbara Gressley. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Carol Prater, who died May 3, 2006; a son, Daniel Lee Marshall, who died May 11, 1978; three brothers, Roy, Jack and Porchman Bays; and an infant sister, Lodime Bays.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Bob Brown of God’s Highway to Heaven, and Pastor Danny Honeycutt of House of Prayer, Disco. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at  Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
