SYRACUSE - Florence Mae Reed, 78, of Goshen, and formerly of Syracuse, died at 9 p.m. Nov. 28, 2008, in Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen.

She was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Arapahoe, Neb., to Edgar and Dollie Reed.

She worked at security at Penn Controls and later drove escort for trucking firms.

Surviving are six children, Cal Pangburn, Sandra Fowler and Terry Pangburn, all of Iowa, and Marsheila Pangburn Hope and Edward Pangburn, both of Colorado; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter and several brothers and sisters.

No services or calling are planned. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
