Fisher Pleads Guilty To Burglary, Theft

Jason Fisher, 24, of Millersburg, pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon in Kosciusko Circuit Court to one count each of burglary and theft.
Fisher previously was charged with murder in connection with the death of Kathy Vroman of Milford.
Vroman's death was connected by police to a December 2000 burglary at Rice Ford in Warsaw, from which more than $100,000 worth of vehicles were taken.
Three other men, including the dead woman's husband, have already been sentenced for their roles in the burglary.
The murder charge against Fisher was dismissed after he testified against his father, Ralph Fisher, in a trial earlier this year.
Ralph Fisher was acquitted of murder in that case. Jason Fisher was in custody on the murder charge for nearly a year while awaiting trial before he implicated his father as the trigger man.
Authorities said Vroman died Jan. 15, 2001 - the same day her husband, William Vroman, reported her missing - inside Country Car Co. in Milford, a used-car dealership owned by Jason Fisher.
Her body was later recovered from a wooded area in Michigan, where it was dumped in the snow. An autopsy revealed she was shot twice in the head.
William Vroman, George Aldrich of Etna Green and Lawrence Grant of Shipshewana testified in the Ralph Fisher trial about Kathy Vroman's death.
All three said in court that they helped Jason Fisher in the Rice Ford burglary.
Jason Fisher also admitted during the trial that he was involved in the break-in and thefts.
Jason Fisher is scheduled to be sentenced on the burglary and theft charges at 10 a.m. Oct. 10. [[In-content Ad]]
