Roger and the former Janet Jennings were married Sept. 9, 1972, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Butler.
Roger worked 33 years at United Telephone/Sprint and currently for INdigital Telecom, Fort Wayne, as 911 technologies government relations and public relations specialist. Janet was an administrative assistant at North Webster Elementary School.
They have two children, Michelle (and spouse Alex) Carter, McKinney, Texas, and Chad Fisher, Temecula, Calif.; and a grandchild.
