The event will be Aug. 7 in front of Ruby and Rex's Rendezvous at the corner of Buffalo and Market Streets, downtown Warsaw.
Registration for the bike show begins at 11 a.m. with judging at 1 p.m. All registration will take place the day of the event.
Registration for the motorcycle show and the ride is $25 and includes a t-shirt.
The benefit motorcycle ride will be at 3 p.m. cruising around Winona Lake and Warsaw.
The ride and motorcycle show is for men and women, and trophies will be awarded following the motorcycle show.
Motorcycle show categories consist of stock, custom and international divisions for both men and women. Judges have been selected, and all winners will be awarded with a trophy.
At the event there will be a hog roast, beer tent, auction and live music.
All proceeds from the ride and motorcycle show go to help breast cancer patients.
Jennifer Mink, committee member, came up with the idea for the ride when she turned 40 June 16. Her gift to herself was purchasing a Harley Davidson Sportster.
Mink also is owner of Ruby, Just For Kids and The Mix.
Over the past months she has put more than 800 miles on her motorcycle and said she has cherished every mile.
While riding her motorcycle in northern Indiana with her friend, Michele Myers, she said they came across female motorcycle riders and wished there were more.
"We came up with an idea to create a ride supporting ladies with breast cancer, and from there it escalated into a fundraiser to raise money for Kosciusko County breast cancer patients," Mink said.
Mink and Myers have teamed up with Robin Watters, Rex's Rendezvous owner, who offered to help sponsor the event.
Cindy Knafel, a breast cancer survivor who works with the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund administered by K21 Foundation, also is coordinating the event.
Knafel was diagnosed with breast cancer June 12, 2008, and now is cancer free.
"Any fundraiser for the Cancer Care Fund helps raise funds and takes the financial burden off those who have cancer," Knafel said.
The day of the event a gift will be given to all breast cancer survivors. The gift is being donated by the Vera Bradley Foundation.[[In-content Ad]]Sponsors include Rex's Rendezvous, Just For Kids, Judy Brown Remax Realtor, H & M Auto Service, Brown Bag Deli, Vera Bradley, Lake City Honda, Ruby, The Mix, Bartel Printing, Lake City Derby Dolls, Wings, Dennie House and Breakdown.
