NORTH MANCHESTER – An expert in finance, accounting and financial strategy joins the Board of Trustees at Manchester University, effective Monday.
Linda Kroll, South Bend, is associate vice president for finance at the University of Notre Dame, according to a press release from Manchester.
“Linda’s expertise in complex financial analysis and planning – and commitment to service – make her a wonderful addition to our board,” said Manchester President Dave McFadden. “She is living proof that Manchester graduates of ability and conviction go on to make a difference in the world.”
Kroll received her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1993 and her master’s degree in accountancy in 1994, both from Manchester.
“I am deeply humbled and honored to serve Manchester in this capacity,” Kroll said. “It is a special place for our family, and I look forward to partnering with President McFadden and members of the board in many great endeavors to come.”
Active in her community, Kroll’s roles include serving in various capacities with LOGAN Center in South Bend, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is treasurer and serves in many ways at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church; and she was 2016 honorary co-chair of Relay for Life, South Bend.
A graduate of the Harvard Management and Leadership Institute, she is also among professionals honored for giving back in her work and community as a member of the Michiana Top Forty Under 40 Class of 2010. She is active in many capacities with the National Association of College and University Business Officers and is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference Fiscal Officers’ Group.
Prior to joining Notre Dame in 1998, Kroll served in professional practice at Crowe Chizek and Co. LLC (now Crowe Horwath LLP), where her clients included large for-profit corporations, as well as universities and nonprofit organizations.
She and her husband, Doug, have two children.[[In-content Ad]]
