Fighting For Our Future

Dear Concerned Senior Citizens,
We are literally fighting for us and for our future prosperity.
As I see it, it is immoral to rob senior citizens to pay for non-citizens benefits, all in the name of justice and compassion.
We are told that lower gas prices will directly affect our cost of living; therefore, we can “afford” not to receive a cost of living Social Security raise in this coming year. Sure!
There are so many seniors who rely on Social Security alone, having no other resources.
I think most senior citizens of these United States agree that we are being snookered again by the present administration.
It is time to speak! It’s time to vote intelligently with our pocketbooks, with our ballots and with our emails! This whole mess is literally getting to me.
Why is Social Security insolvent or nearly so? Believe me, our generation hasn’t robbed the coffers that we have been “building” for the last 50-plus years with our hard-earned dollars paying into the “system.”
When asked about no Social Security cost-of-living increase (mind you, it wouldn’t be that much anyway, but every little bit helps), seniors respond with such arguments as these: Why are we losing our increase when members of Congress still get their automatic pay raise?
Anybody look at the price of food lately? Or the price of insurance? Or the price of all goods lately?
The cost of gas doesn’t even affect most of us! We are driving less or not at all anymore.
Why are illegals getting free food stamps and we are getting cut in our income because their stuff is free?
I was required to “contribute” to Social Security. I could have easily invested my same dollars into dividends and not be risking a dishonest government's heist from a supposedly “safe” lockbox. Social Security lockbox – Ha!
The only ones with keys are our dishonest politicians! They spend it like there is no end to it.
Professional politicians are just that – professional politicians who look out for themselves or the dictates of their party or special interest groups
Something has to change! How about “we the people”?
