She was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Wabash County, to Albert and Mary Karn Niccum. On Aug. 23, 1937, in Modesto, Calif., she married Levi Daniel Long, who died March 3, 1997.
She was a member of North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are five children: Donald Long, Roann; Larry (and wife Doris) Long, Silver Lake; Mrs. David (Lois) Kimmel, Rochester; and Galen (and wife Diane) Long and Mrs. Eddy (Margaret) Bayles, both of North Manchester; a brother, Walter Niccum, North Manchester; two sisters, Doris Boocher and Dorothy Byers, both of North Manchester; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Long; a grandson, Michael Long; a great-grandson, Kenton Whitaker; a brother, Edward Niccum; and a sister, Mae Metzger.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church with The Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester.
