F.D. "Mouse" Leake, 81, of Warsaw, died at 3:30 a.m. May 13, 2007, in his residence.

He was born March 27, 1926, in East Point, Ky., to Sam and Martha Moles Leek. On Oct. 26, 1951, in Warsaw, he married Mary Beth Light, who survives.

Moving to Indiana in 1942, he lived in Warsaw until his death. He owned Warsaw Moving and Storage for many years. In 1966, he went to work for Times-Union, retiring in 1986. He loved fishing trips and fishing with friends. For many years he spent summers camping at Chapman Lake. The most enjoyment he had was gardening with his brother Mirl and his friend Ralph Meyers and giving plenty of the wonderful vegetables away to family and friends.

Also surviving are three children: Mrs. Ted (Jan) Carter, Leesburg; Kim Leake, Arizona; and Rod Leake, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Larabeth Carter Fisher, Warsaw; Derrick Leake, Florida; Shoshanah Barnett, South Caroline; and Amelia, Ethan and Austin Leake, all of Terre Haute; five great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: Ethel Shuh, Elkhart; John Leek, Chapman Lake; and Bob (and wife Ilean) Leek, Mrs. Jerry (Vivian) Kelly and Glen (and wife Jug) Leek, all of Warsaw; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Sam Leake, Mirl and Elmer Leek, Helen Nichols and a brother who died in infancy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Lynn Hutton officiating.

No calling is planned.
