BOURBON – Faye I. King, 87, of Bourbon, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
She was born June 10, 1926, at home in Bremen, to Walter and Elva Berkeypile Heckaman. On Feb. 1, 1985, she married Charles King, who survives.
She was a resident of the area all of her life, and a graduate of Bourbon High School. She was a member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church. She retired from Miller Bearing of Bremen as a bearing inspector. She was a member of the Bourbon “Red Hat” Ladies, and frequently attended the Wednesday morning ladies’ coffee club at the corner restaurant in Bourbon.        
Also surviving are step-daughter, Chris Boyer, Bourbon; step-daughter-in-law, Shelly King, Mentone;   three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; Bonnie Craig, Nappanee; Joyce Overmyer, Rochester; and Lois “Jeannie” (and spouse Jake) Roahrig,  Plymouth; two brothers, LeRoy “Pealy” Heckaman,  Bourbon, and Roscoe “Pete” Heckaman, Argos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Helen Montgomery, March 22, 2010, step-son Michael King in 2011, and her sister-in-law, Margery Heckaman, July 31, 2013.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Burial will follow at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Arrangements are entrusted to Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home.
