Going out for New Year's Eve?

Thinking of drinking? Then don't drive. Call a cab. Anywhere within the Warsaw city limits, it'll be free Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Fast Cab Taxi Co. is offering free cab rides for the 18th straight year.

Dave Cesaretti, Fast Cab owner, said the 20-year-old company will have extra workers on duty Saturday night. "I really appreciate all the people who help. Without them, it wouldn't be possible. It gets bigger every year."

With New Year's Eve being a Saturday night, Cesaretti said he expects a big turn out this year for the free cab service. Average pick-up time is within 15 minutes. However, reservations for a cab can be made.

"I have the full crew working," Cesaretti said. "We should have a really good year."

The free taxi rides on New Year's Eve is a way for Cesaretti and his business to show their appreciation for their customers.

For a free ride New Year's Eve within the city limits, call 269-2222.

Cesaretti said without the generosity of the sponsors, the annual free cab rides would not be possible. The sponsors this year include Rex's Rendezvous, Time Out Inn, Five Star Distributing, Bogey's Steak House, Wise Guyz, Susie Sandbar, Nelson Beverage, Eagle's, Liquid Assets, Moose Lodge, Serivce Liquors, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Schrader's Automotive, American Legion and Warsaw Bowl.

Cesaretti said, "Don't drive, it's a free ride." [[In-content Ad]]
