By Staff Report-

Emily Stouder and Sarah Kerschner, current members of this year’s Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy, presented a check for $2,100 to K21 Health Foundation benefiting the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.

These two students together created a project to raise money and awareness for the Cancer Care Fund.

Hosting a fashion show/cancer benefit titled Beautiful Me, the girls were honored when they were able to share the stage with several cancer survivors as their models.

They booked local businesses Maurices, Carson’s, Fashion Bug, Male Fashions, Satori Crystal Boutique and Premier Designs Jewelry.

The businesses helped outfit the models in making everyone look and feel even more beautiful.

Fundraising events such as the Beautiful Me Fashion Show help the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund provide assistance to financially eligible residents of Kosciusko County who are suffering from cancer with, but not limited to, items such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities, insurance, food, car payments and prescription medications.

In the past year, the Cancer Care Fund has provided financial assistance to more than 100 Kosciusko County cancer patients and their families.

For additional information or to make a donation, contact the K21 Health Foundation at 574-269-5188 or visit the website at www.k21foundation.org
