The words of Thomas Jefferson inscribed on the walls of the Jefferson Memorial are these: “God who gave us life, gave us liberty. Can these liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?”
Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.”
II Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Does our nation need a healing touch? Yes, the touch of a sovereign God!
