With experts from the Social Security Administration saying John McCain has 14.2 to 15.1 percent chance of not being able to fulfill a four-year term as president, we accept that Sarah Palin very well may end up filling the position. But how in touch is she with the average Americans? Let's take a look.[[In-content Ad]]She is very inexperienced with the issues surrounding foreign conflicts, saying in Alaska Business Monthly, "I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq." There are going to be much greater demands for her attention as president, and she may not even have the chance to gain the experience necessary in time to take office. We need a president who will make decisions based on what's best for the people, without selling out to corporate interests. But Sarah Palin has already done so. Her inauguration as governor of Alaska was sponsored by BP, and she has shown no indication of breaking her close ties with Big Oil.
And what about our freedoms? She does not have a good track record on that, either. News reports from Wasilla, Alaska, show how she used her mayorship to put pressure on a local library toward banning books.
Sarah Palin is out of touch with what America needs. She supports extremist positions, and would not be in line with the desires of the people of our nation.
