She was born July 3, 1914, in Bristol, to Clement Andrew and Ethel Mae Congdon Menges. On Dec. 24, 1935, in Bristol, she married Thomas M. Leer, who in died November 1968. On June 28, 1969, she married Daniel M. Jones, who died in May 1994.
She graduated from Bristol High School in 1933 and Ball State University in 1935. She was a homemaker; a former elementary school teacher at Scott Grade School, Middlebury; a dental receptionist for Dr. Zimmerman, Nappanee; and worked for Thermogas, New Paris. She volunteered at the United Methodist Thrift Shop for nearly 20 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Syracuse, where she was active in the Naomi Ladies Circle. She was a charter member of Maxwelton Golf Club and Natti Crow Yacht Club, both of Syracuse, and a former member of Order of the Eastern Star, Nappanee.
Surviving are three daughters, Luanne Yoder, Milford, and Pat (and spouse Michael) Price and Debra (and spouse Jerry) Kirkdorfer, both of Syracuse; a stepson, Danny Bill (and spouse Linda) Jones, Syracuse; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a life companion, Robert Wolfinger, Syracuse. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a step-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Syracuse, with the Rev. Mark Eastway officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
