SYRACUSE - Evelyn "Joan" Hann, 80, of Milford, died at 8:10 a.m. June 10, 2010, at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born on July 29, 1929, in Warsaw, to Wilbur Perry and Loah Mabel Roberts Walton. On March 1, 1947, in Michigan, she married Jesse F. Hann, who died Nov. 7, 1993.

A lifetime Kosciusko County area resident, she attended Milford and Syracuse schools. She was a homemaker and formerly assisted her husband with landscaping and maintenance at Pickwick Park, Syracuse. She was a former receptionist for Dr. Ross, Elkhart; a nurse's aid for Dr. Thwaits, Syracuse; and a geriatric aide at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.

She was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church since 1984, which she was part of the United Methodist Women's Group. She was also a member of Al Anon. She had formerly attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church for 35 years.

Surviving are a stepson, Jesse Jr. (and spouse Nancy) Hann, Mishawaka; a granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; five step-grandchildren; several step-great- grandchildren; two sisters, Erma Mast, Georgetown, Ky., and Wilma (and spouse Herbert) Everest, Edwardsburg, Mich.; and two brothers, Carroll L. (and spouse Thelma) Walton, Pierceton, and Clifford C. (and spouse Deanna) Walton, Cromwell. She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters, a stepson and a stepdaughter.

A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at North Webster Cemetery with Pastor Dave Smitley officiating.

Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
