AKRON - Evelyn C. Krieg, 91, formerly of Akron, died at 3:05 a.m. Aug. 1, 2007, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, where she resided.

She was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Kosciusko County, to Elmer and Oma Perry Kuhn. On Dec. 8, 1935, in Akron, she married Dale Krieg, who died Feb. 6, 1998.

She retired from Owens Supermarket, Warsaw, where she was a cake decorator. She attended Akron Church of God, where she played the organ for many years. She was a member of WCTU and a Burket High School graduate.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Gray, Warsaw; two sons, Steven (and wife Nancy) Krieg, Akron, and Kenton Krieg, Phillippine Islands; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Harvey (and wife Cozette) Kuhn, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two half brothers, a half sister and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Akron Church of God, 301 West St., with Pastors Terry Canfield and Steve Fleck officiating.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 302 W. Rochester St., Akron.
