BOURBON - Eugene E. Elkins, 77, of Bourbon, died Nov. 14, 2010, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Jackson, Ohio, to Fred and Ella Richards Elkin. On Aug. 4, 1979, he married Susan Scarberry, who survives.

He lived in the Bourbon area for the past 20 years and retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving multiple terms. He served during the Korean War and was a prisoner of war. He was a member of Bourbon American Legion Post 424.

Also surviving are a daughter, Rachel (and spouse Terry) Keyser, Bourbon; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twin sister and three brothers.

No services or calling are planned.
