ETNA GREEN RESOLUTION 2012-2

RESOLUTION  2012-2
    Whereas, the Town of Etna Green has an area of land that has previously been occupied by business and industry, bringing jobs to the town, and
    Whereas, such area must be designated as an area in need of economic revitalization for purposes of providing financial incentives to businesses  seeking to locate in that area, and
    Whereas, the Town has the authority under Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1-2 designate an area within the Town as an economic revitalization area, and
    Whereas, hearing was held on December 3, 2012 to consider the request of Winona Powder Coating, Inc. for tax abatement as requested in their statement of benefits filed with the town on November 13, 2012:
     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ETNA GREEN AS FOLLOWS:
    1.  The area described in the attached Exhibit A is hereby designated an economic revitalization area pursuant to I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-2.
    2. The request for tax abatement on a three year schedule,
100%/%/33%    by Winona Powder Coating, Inc. is hereby approved in accordance with their statement of benefits.
    3. The Clerk-Treasurer shall publish notice of the adoption and substance of the resolution in accordance with Indiana Code 5-3-1.
    4. The Clerk-Treasurer shall file a copy of the notice of the adoption and substance of the resolution,  and shall file a statement of benefits relating to this declaration  in accordance with Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1-2.5, with the appropriate  offices required by law.
    5. The Clerk-Treasurer and Town Attorney are hereby authorized to take any steps necessary to implement the intent of this resolution.
