July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

An Etna Green man was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital following a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle accident at Ind. 25 and CR 200N, south of Warsaw.
Richard P. Lattea, 46, Etna Green, was northbound on Ind. 25 on his 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he struck a 2007 Cadillace driven by Lana K. O’Connell, 61, Warsaw. O’Connell was attempting to make a right turn on CR 200N, but Lattea told officers he did not see a turn signal.
Lattea then hit the right rear portion of the Cadillac while the rear tire locked up on his motorcycle.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and emergency personnel found Lattea in resperatory distress as the result of a collapsed lung. Multi-Township EMS immediately requested a landing zone, which was set up in front of Warsaw Community High School.
Lattea was then airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air Ambulance.
KCSD was aided by the Fatal Alcohol Crash Team and Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Deparment.[[In-content Ad]]
