ETNA GREEN - Tuesday night, the Etna Green Town Council was presented with a better version of maps by the Area Plan Commission with previous and existing land usage.

The council then looked over the maps, and made a few changes to some errors. The revisions to the map were approved and went into effect immediately.

The Area Plan Commission now will make the final draft of the map and post it in the town hall for public inspection.

The council also discussed the reasoning for joining the Area Plan Commission. Council members said the town now will have set guidelines and zoning areas for future businesses and homes.

An expenditure of $1,609 for repainting the water tower was approved. A request also was made for review of the color scheme.

A resident brought up a concern with speeding on a road where the town limits and county line meet in the middle. The town council requested their attorney to speak with the county attorney about posting speed limit signs through the road.

The North Walnut street sidewalk has slowly been deteriorating. The council requested quotes for repairs of the sidewalk.

A request also was made to order of new signs for the park.[[In-content Ad]]
