Ethel E. Truex, 91, of Kosciusko County, died at 3:06 p.m. March 11, 2011, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Silver Lake, to John Wesley and Alice Luella Ervin Engle. On Sept. 24, 1938, in Warsaw, she married Harold "Sonny" Truex, who died March 4, 2004.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker and worked at Crystal Lake Egg Products for 15 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood. She liked to sew, work in the garden and go to garage sales.

Surviving are four daughters: Betty (and spouse Don) Hedington, Atwood; Dianna (and spouse Larry) Heisler, Mentone; Peggy (and spouse Bob) Wanemacher, Bourbon; and Doris Truex, Overland Park, Kan.; eight grandchildren: Sara Koser, Kenny Hedington, Randy Heisler, Steve and Jeff Mellott, Cindy Paredes, Ashly Adorante and Whitney Perez; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Joann Garee, Columbia City; and a brother, Wilbur Engle, Upton, Wyo. She also was preceded in death by three sisters: Dorothy Evans, who died Oct. 5, 1997; Betty Hoppus, who died Oct. 6, 2008; and Eva Tripp, who died March 23, 2009; and three brothers: Glen Engle; Charles Engle, who died Jan. 24, 2003; and Johnny Engle.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher of New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
