He was born Oct. 12, 1939, in South Bend, to Theodore A. and Casmira Jeziorski Kolesiak. On Feb. 23, 1963, he married Shirley Ann Leda, who passed away March 1, 2013.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 39 years where he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He had a deep faith in God and the Catholic Church. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 to 1965 when he was honorably discharged. He retired as the director of international services for Zimmer Inc., Warsaw.
Survivors are: two daughters, Cynthia Romine and Karen (and spouse Kurt) Kratzsch, all of Warsaw; a son, Michael (and spouse Shannon) Kolesiak, Akron; eight grandchildren, Zach, Megan, Jacob, Derek, Sarah, Baylee, Ashlynn and Jadyn; one great-grandchild, Tory; and a sister, Tina Springer, Tucson, Ariz. He also was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Harriet Chlebek.
A rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. A graveside service will follow with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 49 VFW 1126 and active members of the miliary will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
