NORTH WEBSTER - Ernest M. "Ernie" Dragoo, 75, North Webster, died at 2 a.m. Feb. 4, 2011, in his home.
He was born Aug. 19, 1935 in Crothersville to Lester and Fada E. Wilkerson Dragoo. On Aug. 25, 1962, he married Carol Lynn Pollo Ehman, who preceded him in death in 1990. He then married Dora Clingerman and they divorced.
He retired in 1996 as a truck driver for MJR Express, Decatur, after six years of service. He was formerly employed with B&L Motor Freight, Newark, Ohio, for 25 years. He served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of North Webster American Legion Post 253 and Teamsters Union.
Surviving are four daughters: Cheryl Jones, Kokomo; Lynn Ghriswalt, Fishers; Tracy (and spouse Tom) Stark, Noblesville; Terri (and spouse Matthew) Wagoner, Syracuse; a son, Brad (and fiance' Holly) Dragoo, North Webster; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two and two sisters, Louise Dragoo, Indianapolis, and Emma Zeek, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
