She was born July 7, 1918, in Miami County, to Jessie F. and Judel Alspach Norman.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a team press operator at Wildman Uniform and Linen, Warsaw. She was a 1936 graduate of Gilead High School and Warsaw Eagles.
Surviving are four sons: James E. (and spouse Connie) Byrer, Elkhart; Cecil A. (and spouse Pat) Byrer, Warsaw; Phillip D. (and spouse Sharon) Byrer, Atwood; and Lewis Byrer, Etna Green; seven daughters: Louise Truex, Etna Green; Ruby (and spouse Steve) Albertson, Pierceton; Betty Russell, Umatilla, Fla.; Connie (and spouse Sid) Phillips and Joyce Rager, all of Warsaw; Vickie (and spouse Jay) Boggs, Mentone; and Doris Byrer, Columbia City; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: David Norman, Macy; Roy Norman, Warsaw; and Oran Norman, Akron; and a sister, Martha Wagoner, Talma. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Byrer; two grandchildren, Jimmy Russell and Jennifer McGlennen; a great-grandson, Jimmy McGlennen; five brothers, Charles, Alva, Ernest, Glenn and Kenneth Norman; and four sisters, Nina Murphy, Audrey Fouts, Wilma Gross and Irene Powell.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mentone United Methodist Church, Mentone, officiated by the Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten of the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
