Paula Diane Ellis and John Christopher Leeper were married May 19, 2007, at First Baptist Church, Warsaw, with Jeff Batchelder officiating. The bride is the daughter of Terry and Karla Ellis, Winona Lake, and the groom's parents are Steve and Kathy Leeper, Warsaw.

Matrons of honor were Jennifer Kohler, Warsaw, and Laura Franklin, Charlotte, N.C. Bridesmaids were Kristin Seyfert, Lansing, Mich.; Mary Allen, North Webster; Linda Winston, Dayton, Ohio; and Alicia Nichols, Warsaw. Flower girla were Kyla Kohler, Warsaw and MiKayle Franklin, Charlotte, N.C. Guest book attendant was Kristina Harding, Warsaw.

Best men were Adam Leeper, Warsaw, and Aaron Leeper, Columbus, Ohio. Groomsmen were David Swain, and Todd Kohler, both of Warsaw; Paul Heaton, Winona Lake; Matthew Purdy, Terre Haute. Ushers were Terrence Brown, Charlotte, Ind.; Josh Frazier Lebanon; and Andrew Schmidt, Warsaw.

A reception was held at First Baptist Church, Warsaw.

The bride is a nurse at Kosciusko Community Hospital, and a bookkeeper at Bodkin Abstract Co. Inc., both in Warsaw, and a campus safety secretary at Grace College and Seminary, Winona Lake. She is a 2001 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received an associate's degree in nursing from Bethel College in 2007.

The groom is a campus security officer at Grace College and Seminary and a reserve officer with the Winona Lake Poilce Department, both in Winona Lake. He is a 2003 homeschool graduate from Terre Haute. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and counseling from Grace College and Seminary in May 2007.

After a wedding trip where the couple spent one week in a condominium on a private beach on the Gulf of Mexico, they make their home in Warsaw.[[In-content Ad]]

Tiger Basketball Opens Season With Win Over Columbia City
On a night where the Warsaw football team was honored before the game, another Tiger team with high expectations going into the season made its 2024 debut. The Warsaw boys basketball team tipped the season off at the Tiger Den against Columbia City, and after battling for the better part of the game, the home side pulled away in the final minutes to win the opener 62-53.
