She was born March 7, 1928, in Paintsville, Ky., to Lonza and Lucy Roberts Blevins. On June 29, 1946, in Paintsville, she was united in marriage to Marvin Blair, who preceded her in death in 2007.
She moved to Warsaw in 1964. She was a homemaker and also worked at Late Country Fiberglass as a material handler in Claypool, also for sewing factories most of her life. She retired in 1990. She was a member of the Warsaw Church of God. She loved humming birds, quilting, sewing, gardening, flowers, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a woman of faith, kindness, wisdom and lots of love.
The Blair family would like to thank Hospice for all their kindness and their support.
Surviving are two sons, Roger (and spouse Bernadine) and Harold Blair, both of Warsaw; four daughters: Lorene (and spouse Elijah) Freeman, Hager Hill, Ky.; Marvina Austin, Warsaw; Brenda Kreis, Claypool, and Sharon (and spouse Robert) Miller, Winona Lake; five sisters: Marie Wallen, Winona Lake; Betty Foster, Bonnie Crabtree, Susie Blevins, Judy Blevins, all of Ohio; and Ruthann Reynolds, Van Leer, Ky.; a brother, James Blevins, Lucasville, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a couple of very special friends, Sherry and Rick Nelson, Atwood. She also was preceded in death by her mother in 1932, her father in 1967, stepmother in 1971, two sisters, three brothers and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
