Elkhart Man Charged for Drugs, Weapon, Theft

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers, along with Ligonier police officers, obtained information Wednesday morning related to a possible stolen vehicle located east of Pierceton. Officers arrived and confirmed that the vehicle was at the Regency Estates Mobile Home Park, Pierceton.
Shortly afterward, the suspect, identified as Matthew John Milton, 29, Elkhart, returned to the vehicle where he was subsequently taken into custody without incident. During the apprehension, deputies uncovered a one-pot method methamphetamine lab, precursors for meth production, finished methamphetamine as well as a handgun, the release states.
Milton was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and preliminarily charged with felony dealing in methamphetamine with a firearm, theft and possession of marijuana. He is currently being held on a $20,250 bond, along with a hold by the Ligonier Police Department as correlated to the stolen vehicle.
