She was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Syracuse, to Eli and Osee Kiser Shock. On July 24, 1942, in Syracuse, she married H.A. Ganger, who died in June 1969.
She was a 1936 Syracuse High School graduate and retired as secretary and bookkeeper from North Webster School in 1984. She was a member of North Webster Church of God, where she was part of the Just Older Youth group, a former children's Sunday school superintendent and former president on the state and local levels for the Missionary Society. She was a member of Efficient Homemakers Club, North Webster, former treasurer for the North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Library and volunteered at the North Webster Food Pantry.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl L. Leedy and Paula J. Markley, both of North Webster; a grandson, Brad Leedy, Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Irene Ferverda, North Webster. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Dye and Pauline White; and five brothers, Elvin, John, Lester, Pearl and Dale Shock.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at North Webster Church of God with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Burial will be in McClintic Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
