By Staff Report-
The electric cooperative hosted a workshop on June 14 at KREMC for students participating in the first two years of the 4-H Electricity division. Students received instruction in basic skills related to the elementary projects, including wiring and soldering.
This year’s workshop was taught by KREMC Field Engineer Ryan Miller, and by Field Technologist Brian Maxey from Wabash Valley Power Association, KREMC’s electric provider.
“We want to give the 4-H kids a good basic education in some fundamental principles of electricity,” said KREMC Energy Advisor Carol Ousley. “This is another way we help demonstrate our commitment to our communities and to education.”
Judging for electricity projects will take place on June 30 in the Shrine Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.
