SYRACUSE – Eleanor J. Price, 95, Syracuse, died at 4:40 a.m. Aug. 31, 2012, in The Meadows Nursing Home, Warsaw. She was born Dec. 15, 1916, in LaGrange, to Clayton L. and Nina V. Frick Hunter. On July 28, 1940, in Cosperville, she married Charles Edward “Ed” Price, who died March 25, 2005. She moved to Syracuse in 1959 from Howe. She retired May 1, 1982, from Monsato in Ligonier after 23 years and was formerly employed at Master Garment, Ligonier. She lived in LaGrange during her early years and graduated in 1937 from Wawaka High School. She was a member of the North Webster Church of God where she was active in the Tuesday Ladies Bible Study. She was formerly on the Ladies Bowling League in Syracuse. Surviving are three daughters: Dee Ann Pifer, Syracuse; Gloria Edwards, Auburn; Sandi (and spouse George) Lung, Pierceton; two sons, Larry (and spouse Anita) Price, Cromwell, and Gary (and spouse Sharon) Price, Syracuse; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials to Wawasee Camp of Gideon’s International, P.O.
