Jim and Kari Edwards, Syracuse, announce the engagement of their daughter Kristine Edwards, Syracuse, to Zachary Marshall, Milford. He is the son of Michael and Lani Marshall, Milford.

The bride-to-be is a graphic designer at Signature Studio, Winona Lake. She graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, in 2004, and earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from Bethel College, Mishawaka, in 2008.

The groom-elect works in field production operations at Tom Farms, Leesburg. He graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, in 2004.

The couple plan an Aug. 13, 2011, wedding.
