Edward "Junior" Wilson, 87, of Warsaw, died at 11:02 p.m. March 1, 2011, in Miller's Merry Manor Warsaw.

He was born March 7, 1923, in Connersville, to William Edward and Lillian Mary Hamilton Wilson. On March 25, 1973, in New Castle, he married Barbara Stacey, who survives.

Moving to the Warsaw area from Knightstown in 1971, he worked for United Telephone Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1983 as a lineman and later as an engineer. He was member of Knightstown Christian Church and Warsaw Community Church. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Knightstown; the American Legion Post 253, North Webster; Independent Telephone Association; and Chapman Lake Association. He was a World War II veteran, serving during the European Theatre in General Patton's 3rd Army. He was an avid fisherman.

Also surviving are three children, Debra Jo Craft (and companion Tim Carpenter) and Michael (and spouse Tracy) Wilson, all of Warsaw, and Patricia (and spouse Paul) Zerr, Gilbert, Ariz.; a sister, Jeanne Morse, Liberty; a brother-in-law, Lee Stacey, New Castle; 10 grandchildren: Riley, Morgan, Kaylin, Jennifer, Julia, Robbie, Gage, Peyton, Jennifer and Patrick; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda Jean Wilson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
