He was born May 20, 1921, in Indianapolis, to Frank and Pearl Chilton Hudson. On July 26, 1942, he married Janet Sortwell, who survives.
Moving to Warsaw from Indianapolis in 1990, he retired as superintendent at American Paperstock Co. in 1978. He was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church and the Warsaw Bible Church. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 9th Air Force as a staff sergeant.
The family thanks God that he personally trusted in Jesus Christ for his salvation of his soul at a Billy Graham crusade in 1958.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra (and spouse John) Dicken, Goshen, and Rebecca (and spouse Keith) Gilliming, St. Louis, Mo.; and two sons, Timothy (and spouse Jane) Hudson, Shirley, and Ronald (and spouse Deborah) Hudson, Warsaw. His legacy extends to 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Jack Worth officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military graveside honors.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
