Brenda Arnold, of the local Betz Zeta Chapter, Delta Theta Tau Sorority Inc., announced the sorority will award $15,000 this year to students specializing in guidance and counseling.
Grants are awarded to students at the graduate level, based upon their scholastic ability and financial need.

A self-addressed stamped envelope must accompany any requests for application.
Applications are reviewed by the Philanthropy Committee of the sorority in February each year and applications for the summer 2014 session or the academic 2014-15 year must be postmarked no later than Dec. 10.
Delta Theta Tau Sorority has been associated with this project since 1959 and has given a total of $623,781.66 to 693 individual students throughout the United States.
Triton Celebrating 50 Years
BOURBON – Triton School Corporation is celebrating 50 years.
Join the school corporation Aug. 10 during the Summerfest for a free ice cream social in front of Triton Elementary prior to the fireworks display.
Plumlee Makes Honor Roll
RALEIGH, N.C. – Maddie Plumlee, daughter of Leslie and Perky Plumlee, Winona Lake, has been named to the second semester honor roll at Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh, where she is a rising senior.
To be eligible for the honor roll, a student must maintain a weighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher in at least five academic courses while maintaining the status of a student in good standing with the Judicial Board and administration.
Bradford Earns Honors
Chelsey Bradford completed the second semester of her freshman year at Valparaiso University with a 3.65 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
She earned Dean’s List honors in the College of Engineering for her accomplishment.
Bradford is majoring in civil engineering and also is a member of the Honor Council, Society of Women Engineers, Science Olympiad and the Student Alumni Association. She is the daughter of Mike and Kim Bradford, Warsaw.
Allbritten Enrolled At ONU
ADA, Ohio – Grant M. Allbritten, son of David and Brenda Allbritten, Warsaw, has enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University for the 2013-14 school year.
He will be a freshman majoring in chemistry.
A graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Allbritten was active in National Honor Society and soccer.
Berelsman Enrolled At ONU
ADA, Ohio – Taylor A. Berelsman, son of Brian and Dawn Berelsman, Warsaw, has enrolled in the College of Engineering at Ohio Northern University for the 2013-14 school year.
He will be a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering.
A graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Berelsman was active in National Honor Society, Octagon Club, football and baseball.
Davis Graduates OSU
Stefani Elizabeth Davis, Leesburg, has graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University, with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
She will begin a masters/doctorate of nurse practitioner program at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., in August.
She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2009.
Butler Spring 2013 Dean’s List
INDIANAPOLIS – Butler University announced the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Recipients range from freshman to sixth-year pharmacy students.
