She was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Warsaw, to Roy E. and Eva Nine Stiver. On April 16, 1949, she married Lewis Laughlin, who died in November 1994.
She was a homemaker. She lived in Warsaw and South Bend most of her life. She was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church, Air Stream Club and Wally Byam Caravan Club International. She enjoyed reading her Bible, archery, horseback riding and was a volunteer worker at Our Father's House.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne L. (and spouse Donna) Laughlin, Granger, and Donald (and spouse Rosemary) Laughlin, Claypool; two daughters, Betty (and spouse Charles) Burke, Meridian, Idaho, and Pamela (and spouse Rick) Parker, Topeka, Kan.; a stepson, Steven (and spouse Lois) Laughlin, Anaheim, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Vere and George Stiver; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mable (and spouse Harold) Laughlin, and Pearl (and spouse Gene) Hatfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Jack Worth, Dutchtown Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
