Edna Joy Miller, 104, of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and formerly of Mentone, died at 12:45 a.m. May 3, 2013, in her residence.
She was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Marshall County, to Orville E. and Nancy H. Stackhouse Martin. On Feb. 17, 1928, in Plymouth, she married Joseph A. Miller, who preceded her in death June 9, 1989.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Burket United Methodist Church. She was active in the Scrambled Egg Band and the Mentone Nutrition site. She loved gardening and cooking. She always enjoyed her family and was noted for her talent of crocheting and making doilies.
Surviving are two daughter-in-laws, Sharon Miller, Akron, and Lois Miller, Mentone; four grandchildren: Darrel (and spouse Pam) Miller, and Doug (and spouse Lori) Miller, all of Mentone; LuAnn Greene, North Manchester, and Deb (and spouse Jim) Glaze, Pierceton; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jack and James Miller; a brother, Onel Martin; and a sister, Frances Koch.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Gary Loy officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
