NORTH MANCHESTER – Edna E. Walters Landis, 92, of North Manchester, died at 3:25 a.m. June 12, 2013, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born May 15, 1921, in North Manchester, to John J. and Rhuea M. Roberts Heeter. On Oct. 8, 1938, she married George Walters Jr., who died May 31, 1986. On April 5, 1988, she married Don R. Landis, who died Aug 25, 2007.
She was a homemaker, an aid at Timbercrest Retirement Community from 1968-75 and worked at Heckman Bindery from 1975-85. She was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester. She attended Chester High School.
Surviving are a son, Todd L. (and spouse Jane) Walters, Silver Lake; two stepdaughters, Joann Pinkerton, Russiaville, and Kadonna Holderman, Columbia City; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers,   four sisters and a grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout and Chaplain Carol Pfeiffer officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, and two hours prior to the service Saturday at Timbercrest.
